CAV (Civilian Armoured Vehicle) Technician

With defence spending growing, we have opportunities across the board and recently have been approached to support a key client for a CAV technician to aid in maintenance and inspection of civilian Armoured Vehicles for various national and international government bodies.
Role is a long-term contract with high chance of extension with an awesome option to travel across the globe. Must have an NV1 due to the nature and sensitivity of the environment and work.

Role: CAV Technical Officer x2 positions

Contract: February 2026 - February 2027 with chance to extend 12+ months.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct overseas CAV technical inspections and service centre assessments
• Liaise with suppliers for spare parts and perform acceptance inspections on new CAVs
• Generate inspection & assessment reports.
• Assist with fleet maintenance, reporting, and the development of technical documentation
• Provide mechanical and technical advice, supporting the delivery of fleet capability
• Conduct acceptance inspections of new built CAVs.

Qualifications:

• Automotive or mechanical qualifications and LandCruiser platform experience (essential)
• Strong knowledge of CAV design, protection standards, and technical inspections (essential)
• NV1 clearance, valid Australian driver’s licence (essential)
• Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis (to high threat locations)
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
